It appears that the main criterion of choosing the artistes’ whose songs feature in this album were so called popular artistes, that is, those whose records have a ready market. It would have been a more attractive production to me to have the songs of only such singers who were trained in Santiniketan. That way one could realize the basic difference of their style with that of other “crowd pullers” presented in this album.
