Friends Music Festival in Calcutta presented by 91.9 Friends FM

Friends Music is hosting a music festival in Calcutta on February 28th and March 1st in Nazrul Mancha, Calcutta. The first day (February 28th, 09) is focused on Bangla Adhunik Gaan (Bengali Adhunik Songs) with notable artists like Rupankar Bagchi, Lopamudra Mitra, Srikanto Acharya, Subhamita Banerjee and Dohar. The program will also feature fusion music by Bickram Ghosh’s Rhythmscape with Pandit S. Sekhar, Pulak Sarkar, Chirodeep Lahiri, Ambarish Das and Sanjay Das. The second day (March 1st, 2009) is focused on Bangla Band songs with performance by Anjan Dutta, Chandrabindoo, Cactus, Bhoomi and Usha Uthup.
